The University Club prides itself on delivering Members a memorable experience each time they visit us at The Club. In 2009 we are delighted to offer some new traditions to the Club Cafe and Bar for you and your guests to enjoy during the week.

Monday - Steak n’ Ale Day $19.50
Juicy T-bone steak with chips, salad and a glass of draught beer.

Tuesday - $10 Tuesday
Penne pasta with your choice of two sauces.

Wednesday - Bento Day $15
Sushi, salad, fried noodles, sweet corn soup and fresh fruit.

Thursday - Banana Leaf Day $15
Butter chicken, eggplant curry, scented rice, samosa, pappadum and peach chutney.

Friday - Fish ‘N’ Swish Day $19.50
Fish of the day with a glass of selected white wine.

Saturday - Family Breakfast Day $13.50 Adults / $8.50 Kids Under 12
Enjoy a fully cooked breakfast with your choice of tea, coffee or orange juice.

Friday at the Club continues to be the funky place to start your weekend! Kick back after the long working week and take in the sounds of our live bands playing every Friday from 4.30pm-8pm. Members' HAPPY HOUR is from 5-6pm and an extensive snack menu is available from as little as $5 per plate.

Artist Profiles

Matt Milford
Matt is a seasoned performer and has gained a vast repertoire of material crossing all styles of music. With a strong base in the rock genre, Matt will perform his acoustic arrangements of favourite rock anthems and ballads with style and passion.

Chelsea J
Having been a top finalist in Australian TV programs ‘Australian Idol’ and ‘Pop Stars’, Chelsea J is definitely one to keep your eye on. As well as being a multi instrumentalist singer songwriter, Chelsea has also appeared on stage as an actor and dancer so you know she was born to entertain! Chelsea has supported artist such as Jimmy Barnes and The Cruel Sea and has also sung along side James Morrison.

Domenic Zurzolo
Domenic began playing the acoustic guitar from a very early age taught by his father and carrying on a long tradition of music in the Zurzolo family. He has gone on to work as a professional musician.  Self taught until the age of seventeen Domenic began lessons with Perth guitarist Cliff Lynton.  After a few years with Cliff he auditioned at WAAPA (Western Australian Academy Of Performing Arts ) were he spent the next three years studying Jazz and completing a certificate in music and a associate diploma in jazz. 

Luke Dewing
Luke is a very talented keyboardist/vocalist, dabbling in music from the 60’s through to now’s hits. Each song Luke performs he shapes and delivers the music in his own unique way. Having sung and played keys in various bands in the past Luke now plays keys and sings for Cherry. He also plays acoustic gigs, both solo and as part of a duo/trio. Luke is a music student at WAAPA and is currently enrolled in 3rd year of the Bachelor of Contemporary music majoring in Voice. Luke writes his own original tunes and has plans to record soon

Tom Jennis
In the 80’s Tom traveled Asia extensively in a Perth band called ‘Red Square’.  Last year we saw him touring Asia and the East Coast of Australia as the lead role in a tribute to Cliff Richard.
The multi talents of Tom see him playing Guitar, Bass and several other instruments. He always has a great rapport with his audiences with his music tastes revolving around the 60’s through to the 90’s.

Brett Hardwick
Brett Hardwick is one of Perth’s best known guitarists. Mixing blues with jazz, funk, country and rock, he has forged his own style. Beginning on the classical guitar at 6 years old, discovering Jimi Hendrix at 15, studying jazz at the WA Conservatorium and then working professionally in various Rock and contemporary bands has led Brett to a point where he fronts his own band, reinventing covers or performing originals.  Acts he has supported include the Bull Sisters and Renae Geyer.  Nominated for the 2007 Music Oz awards Brett is always inventive and original. 

Thirsty Thursday

The Club Café and Bar is delighted to announce the introduction of Thirsty Thursday to our events calendar. On the first Thursday of each month, come and join us for half priced selected tap beers and house wine between 5pm and 6pm. Representatives from our wines and beers of the month will be on hand to provide you with a taste of their wares. So be sure to come down and enjoy this great offer!
