Message From The Chair

Each year The University of Western Australia attracts thousands of visitors who participate in a myriad of diverse and exciting, academic, intellectual, cultural and artistic activities. The campus, its buildings and gardens are recognised nationally and internationally as one of the most beautiful learning environments in the world. This adds to the significance of the University's role as an intellectual, social and creative resource committed to serving the community and the State.

As a current member of the University's governing body, the Senate, I am pleased to play a continuing part in helping to translate this commitment into the diverse activities and undertakings of the University. The University Club encourages professional, collegial, and social interaction on campus, as well as offering new opportunities for the University to reach out to our graduates and many other groups and individuals in business, government and the wider community. It is a privilege to lead the Club's inaugural Board of Advisors as its chair as we enter our second year of operations. I encourage you to be part of this exciting institution.

Tony Howarth
