Restaurant of Champions
The University Club won recently a silver medal in in the Restaurant of Champions competition held at Perth Convention Exhibition Centre. This was the first culinary competition in Australia to be judged under the international rules of the World Association of Cooks Society. The competition required the team to prepare a three course meal for 80 people in under four hours and was judged by a panel of chefs from Switzerland, Germany, South Africa and Singapore. The team did considerably well, competing against state, interstate and National teams with overall Honours going to Team Hong Kong. Although only five team members were allowed to compete, it was an effort by the entire Kitchen Brigade that enabled the University Club team to achieve this impressive result. Well done to everyone who competed, and all the team members who provided support.
